INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Here For You
It takes a great amount of strength and courage to reach out for help and support.
We all have different experiences that shape the way we view our lives, others, and the world around us. My passion is to be with and work with people so that they may share their stories in a space that feels safe and supportive. It is my hope that together we can help navigate this life and that you feel empowered, encouraged, and motivated to make the changes you need to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
EMDR THERAPY
Trauma
Trauma therapy will help you process traumatic events and the lasting experience of those events that may follow.
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) assists with processing these events as well as assisting with anxiety, depression, PTSD and more.
COUPLES THERAPY
Restore Relationships
The goal of couples counseling is to restore healthy relationships and establish strong connections with your partner. Issues addressed could include communication, sexual concerns, infidelity, and infertility. I am trained in the Gottman method "to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy, and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship."

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Makai Counseling, LLC is not contracted with any insurance companies. Upon request we can provide you with a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance. Based on your benefits and policy you may be reimbursed for out of network services.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
All sessions are rated for a 50 minute session unless previously discussed with your therapist. The standard fee is $150 for individual sessions, $160 for EMDR sessions, and $170 for couples sessions. Session fees will be processed immediately after session.
We do offer a sliding scale based on individual need. Please feel free to ask about this, if payment is a concern.
HOW DO WE START?
Please reach out to us and set up a free 15 minute consultation in which we discuss any questions you may have and to see if we are the right fit.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN MY FIRST SESSION?
All sessions are conducted via a HIPPA compliant telehealth link. An email will be sent with the link to connect to session.
Once we’re together, the first session is about us getting to know each other. My hope in that session is to have a better understanding of your needs, the landscape of your world, and to make sure that you are comfortable moving forward with me as your therapist.
HOW OFTEN WILL WE MEET?
This will vary depending on each individual. Initially, it is beneficial to attend weekly sessions to establish confidence, rapport, and build momentum. After that, we will discuss what makes the most sense for your therapeutic journey.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy, which means that you need to let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel. Less than 24 hours notice, or no-showing on a session will result in a charge of the full session fee.
